Development potentials in Northrhine-Westphalia
New study results shows where and why development land in Northrhine-Westphalia is scarce
The professorship Analysis and Monitoring of Urban Areas has published a new study in cooperation with the German Economic Institute (IW Cologne). The results show where and why development land is scarce in Northrhine-Westphalian cities. It puts trends of the past into context with current drivers of land use demand and the possibilities of planning administration in land use management for the future. The study portrays the cities of Bonn, Dusseldorf and Munster in case studies, including interviews of leading planning officials. It finishes with recommendations for coming requirements in land use governmance.
